I’m so excited to be writing my very first blog!  I’ve always enjoyed writing.  And ever since 2007 when I took time off from my career as a dietitian to travel the world, I’ve dreamed about writing in some capacity.  I love reading travel books and have thought that would be so fun to travel and write about it.  I also love reading nutrition articles and blogs and have thought that I could also do that as well.  So why not combine my love of writing, food, nutrition, and travel into one blog.  And my blog, Nosh Nourish Wander was born!

The purpose of this blog is to help you by sharing my knowledge of nutrition and food. Living in Chicago, I have access to some of the most amazing and best restaurants in the country.  I will share my restaurant experiences, experiment with new recipes, as well as share some of my favorite recipes I have used over the years.  My aim is almost always to eat nutritious foods.  But of course, life is too short, and it is fun to eat more indulgent foods occasionally.  Everything in moderation!  In addition to sharing my love of food and nutrition, I will share my own travel experiences in that it will enhance and encourage your own travels.  I think it is important to understand other cultures and travel gives us a glimpse of life in another culture.  Not to mention, food is a huge part of culture! Discovering the local cuisine only adds to the travel experience.  I believe we can learn so much from not only what people eat, but the nutritional benefits of those foods.
